The winner of this category will be a company that has successfully introduced an innovative technology solution to improve sustainability. The solution should demonstrate how it makes a positive impact on the environment in Aotearoa and/or overseas, such as maintaining, restoring or limiting damage to the natural environment. Evidence will need to be provided to demonstrate that the company has made at least one sale in the year from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.

Entries in this category are judged by a panel of both local and international judges.

Eligibility for This Category

Your company is registered in NZ and meets at least two of the following criteria:

• Founded in NZ
• Global headquarters are in NZ
• At least 20% of your employees reside in NZ
• The product/solution originated in NZ or was substantially developed in NZ

In Entering This Category

• You have developed a product/solution principally focused on maintaining or restoring any aspect of the natural environment, minimising any of the harmful effects of human activity on the natural environment or minimising environmental harm whilst improving efficiency.
• You have made a commercial sale (this excludes grants and investment) in the calendar year 2025.
• Your product or solution is genuinely innovative, can make a serious, positive, beneficial impact and you can demonstrate how it’s positioned for significant future success.
  • The product/solution was designed in NZ
  • Your company owns or has rights to use the IP
  • A commercial sale of the product/solution was made between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025.
