Eligibility for this Category

Your company is registered in NZ and meets at least two of the following criteria:

  • Founded in NZ
  • Global headquarters are in NZ
  • At least 20% of your employees reside in NZ
  • The product originated in NZ or was substantially developed in NZ

In Entering this Category

  • You have developed a hardware product that is genuinely innovative and can demonstrate how it’s positioned for future success.
  • Your technology solution must be clearly differentiated from that of your competition.
  • Your product may include software but the real competitive advantage has to come from its hardware design.
  • You can provide evidence of at least one commercial sale (this excludes grants and investment) for the calendar year ending 31 December 2023.
  • Upon request, you can supply the judges with evidence to support any claims made in this entry and be able to prove that:
    • The product was designed in NZ
    • Your company owns or has rights to use the IP

For the Hi-Tech Young Achiever category, entries can be self-entered or submitted on behalf of someone. Please ensure that entries are made in the Award Force portal by 5 pm on Monday, 4 March 2024.

As for the Hi-Tech Inspiring Individual category, entries are accepted by third party only. Make sure to submit the entry form for them in the Award Force portal by 5 pm on Monday, 4 March 2024.
