Gary Hamel, Lloyd Carney and Victoria Ransom join established line up of international judges for 2014 NZ Hi-Tech Awards

Gary Hamel – ranked as one of the world's most influential business thinkers by The Wall Street Journal – will join Lloyd Carney, CEO of Brocade Communications Systems and Victoria Ransom, founder of Wildfire - as new international judges for the 2014 NZ Hi-Tech Awards. They will join the existing prestigious judges including: Claudia Batten, Michael Boustridge, Howard Charney, Katherine Corich, Pat Kenealy, Richard Keyse, Andy Lark, Richard Mander and Craig Nevill-Manning.

Wayne Norrie, Chairman of the Hi-Tech Trust believes this is the best line up of international judges ever assembled to evaluate and judge the entries. “Any business awards internationally would be lucky to have such a line up. We are ecstatic to have Gary, Lloyd and Victoria join our existing line up of international judges. These world class business leaders are mega busy folk and they are giving their own time to judge the Awards. Their interest in New Zealand, our tech sector and the Awards is just amazing and a reflection of the great achievements of our tech companies on the global stage” says Norrie.

He believes the ability to secure judges of this calibre is testimony to the growth in recognition of the NZ Hi-Tech Awards both domestically and internationally. “As an industry we truly play on the global stage and contribute significantly to the New Zealand economy. The Awards present a great opportunity for New Zealand technology companies to gain recognition for their achievements and get their company in front of a truly world class group of business leaders,” says Norrie.

Entries for the 2014 NZ Hi-Tech Awards close on Monday, 3rd March.

The Awards will be also be judged by a prestigious line up of local judges who will also be involved in face-to-face interviews with the finalists.
