Selwyn Pellett returned from Singapore in 2001 to become a New Zealand based high-tech entrepreneur, after running major technology companies in New Zealand, Australasia and Singapore that ranged from $20m turnover to just under a billion.

It was at this point he felt suitably qualified in technology, management, international sales, marketing, and strategic planning to have a crack at building New Zealand-based technology companies and expanding them into international markets.

In 2001, Selwyn co-founded Endace, which focused on network security solutions for telecommunications, financial services and government customers.

He led Endace to a successful AIM listing in the UK in 2005, and Endace went on to win a number of prestigious awards over the next few years including in the NZ Engineering and Excellence Awards, the High Growth Company of the Year (2005) and Supreme Company of the Year (2007) in the New Zealand HiTech Awards and was often placed in the Deloittes Fast 50 and Top 200 lists.  Endace was sold to NASDAQ-listed Emulex in 2013 for $156m.

Selwyn also has a successful track record in GPS-based electronic solutions for tracking fleet vehicles. Co-founding Prolificx in 2001, he has since been involved in the acquisition of SmartTrack Pty Ltd, the formation of Imarda Ltd, and most recently the merger with International Telematics Ltd to become Coretex Ltd in 2015, creating a leading, cloud-based telematics solutions provider to some of the largest fleets in the world. Selwyn has personally supervised market entry into America, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Israel, UAE, Switzerland, Finland, Greece, South Africa and almost every country in Asia Pacific, achieving circa $500M in total exports to date. He has also established multiple operating companies in Australia, Singapore, China, Malaysia, the UK and the USA.

Selwyn is passionate about helping New Zealand develop a high-wage, high-growth, elaborately transformed and sustainable economy. He has consulted with government ministers and advisors on industry and economic policy, and been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at building and retaining the skills and expertise to support economic growth in New Zealand.

He was a founding member of the NZ Intellectual Capital Foundation (NZInc), a Trustee of the NZ HiGrowth Project and was also instrumental in establishing the first Hi-Tech Awards in which he has remained involved ever since.

Today Selwyn serves as the CEO of Coretex, mentors young entrepreneurs, invests in multiple technology and tech-related companies and continues to advocate for a strong local technology industry as a key driver of economic growth for the country.
