Flying Kiwi Award

Established in 2003 the Flying Kiwi Award is awarded to individuals that have made a sustained and outstanding contribution to New Zealand's Hi-Tech industries: Software, Electronics, Telecommunications, Biotechnology, Creative Technologies.

These are truly inspirational leaders that have shown the way for others to follow. Nominations are called for each year as part of the PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards. New nominees are added to the list from which the winner is selected each year.

Inductees will:

  • Exemplify the qualities and attributes that most commonly contribute to outstanding business success and be widely respected for their leadership and vision
  • Be recognised by the high tech community as having made a significant contribution to that community by virtue of landmark commercial or technical success and innovation
